PhaseDesk is where the daily update goes, and with it the timer, leave and the week's report. Nobody sits through a call to hear it, and nobody scrolls back through a WhatsApp group on Friday to find it.

Why this exists

Before PhaseDesk, the daily update was a WhatsApp message.

A group chat is fine for a day. By Wednesday, Tuesday's blocker is buried under everything posted since. Knowing who hasn't posted means counting names and chasing them. And the weekly report is somebody scrolling back on Friday, copying it out by hand.

So we built the smallest thing that fixes it. Three boxes a day. A timer that knows which project it's running for. Leave that asks the company calendar before it charges anyone a day. And a week that reads itself back.

It's invite-only, and there's no pricing page, because nothing here is for sale. It's the tool for one team's working day.

The daily update

Three boxes. That's the whole standup.

Completed work, Working on, Blockers. The questions a standup asks, answered when it suits you and kept where you can find them again.

  1. 01Either of the first two can be blank. Not both.
  2. 02One update can cover several projects. A design review belongs to all of them.
  3. 03You pick the day the work belongs to, so Friday's work written on Monday lands on Friday.
  4. 04Anything in Blockers is flagged on the week's board, where the next message can't bury it.

The timer

One clock, on every project the task touches.

  • Start it, stop it, or add the time by hand when you forgot. Any entry can be edited or deleted afterwards.
  • One timer runs at a time. Starting a second is refused rather than quietly splitting the hour.
  • Left running overnight, it stops at midnight and counts against the day it started. Stopped at midnight
  • Finish one and the daily update offers to fill in the date and projects for you.

Leave

Leave that checks the calendar first.

Admins keep one working calendar: a weekday off for a holiday, a Saturday brought in for a release. Everyone is told when it changes, and leave is counted against it.

  1. 01A reason is required. Whoever approves it shouldn't have to ask.
  2. 02The cost is counted from the working calendar every time it's read, so a holiday declared after you booked stops being charged.
  3. 03Withdraw a request while it's pending, or after approval until the first day arrives.
  4. 04An admin approves or declines, with a note if they like. HR sees the same queue but can't decide it.
Example leave request: Monday 16 to Friday 20 November with a reason, costing four working days because Wednesday 18 November is a company holiday.

Reports

Friday's report is already written.

Every update lands on a board of who filed on which day. Step to any week, narrow it to a project, and export it as CSV.

You see your own week. Admins and HR read everyone's, along with their tracked time, in the admin panel.

The admin overview lists who hasn't posted today, and who isn't on a project at all, so nobody has to count names.

Who sees what

Three seats, and the server holds the line.

Everyone uses the same app for their own day. What a seat can read or change beyond that is checked by the API on every request, so hiding a button is never the only thing in the way.

Getting in

Got an invite link?

Open it. It sets your password and takes you straight to your dashboard. A link lasts seven days, and your admin can send a fresh one if yours has run out.
